Political Action
PBA Health invests in the future of pharmacies by supporting legislation and bringing to light both local and national issues affecting pharmacy. With abusive PBM practices, threats to Medicaid, and the advent of Medicare Part D, the need for political advocacy for the pharmacy has never been greater. PBMs and other opponents spend millions lobbying elected officials, protecting their own profits. As part of PBA Health, youll gain access to a powerful network of savvy political advisors who represent the needs of the pharmacist to state and federal legislators.

Pharmacy Legislation
Government has a huge impact on the pharmacy profession. PBMs have nearly unlimited financial resources to sway legislation in their favor. PBA Health utilizes the collective power of our affiliates, along with our strategic partners and industry associations, to help ensure that no government policy affecting independent pharmacy is written without the knowledge and input of pharmacy representatives.
Filling prescriptions. Serving customers. We know how busy the day of a pharmacist can be. You don't have time to follow every congressional move and solicit government officials at the level required to make a difference. That's why we've enlisted the aid of an experienced legislative professional to not only make members aware of issues affecting them, but also advise them on action required and lobby legislators on behalf of our pharmacists.

Our goal is to ensure that pharmacists maintain the access to inventory and negotiation rights required to keep you competitive - and influential in forming tomorrow's competitive landscape.
