Drug Manufacturers Raise Prices on Hundreds of Drugs

Pharmaceutical companies on January 1 raised the price of hundreds of drugs, according to the Wall Street Journal.

More than three dozen drugmakers raised the prices. The average increase was 6.3 percent. Among generic drugmakers with the largest increases, Hikma Pharmaceuticals raised the price of morphine by 10 percent, ketamine by 20 percent and enalaprilat by 30 percent.
