New Farm Bill Legalizes Hemp-Derived CBD Products

The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 was signed into law on December 20. Among other things, the bill removes hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, which means that “it will no longer be an illegal substance under federal law,” according to the FDA.
