Today Is Women Pharmacist Day

 Today is the inaugural National Women Pharmacist Day.

Created by Suzanne Rabi Soliman, Pharm.D., the day recognizes women in pharmacy and celebrates how far women have come in a traditionally male-dominated profession.

October coincides with American Pharmacists Month. And Dr. Soliman chose the 12th to honor Elizabeth Greenleaf, the first woman pharmacist in America. (She had 12 children.)
