Chances are you have considering that 112 million Americans listened to a podcast as of 2017.
And, 42 million Americans listen to podcasts weekly. This is a staggering number considering it represents nearly 15 percent of the U.S. population.
A podcast is a series of episodes that a user can download and listen to on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer.
One or multiple people host each episode of a podcast. Formats can include a single host speaking, co-hosts discussing, interviews, roundtables and more. All podcasts seek to entertain, inform and inspire listeners to subscribe and tune in episode after episode.
Podcasts provide a unique way of consuming information or entertainment. You can listen to them on-the-go. Like when you’re driving to the pharmacy. While running after work. Or when you’re scarfing down your lunch before heading back behind-the-counter.
